Bio

Stephanie takes NC State’s Think and Do motto to heart. After living and teaching ESL in Santiago, Chile from 2018-2021, and following a Colombia-hosted virtual teacher training position with NC State’s Global Training Initiative, Stephanie was determined to create a solid home base in North Carolina. In December of 2021, Stephanie joined the IEP as an instructor for the custom-designed IEP-Cooper program. She became an instructor with the IEP academic study program in the Spring of 2022 and has continued as Lead Instructor of the IEP-Cooper program. From her varied experience as a chocolate maker, fish-cutter, literary magazine copywriter, poet, and restaurant manager, Stephanie takes pride in transforming the academically elusive into the achievable. A Wolfpack alum, Stephanie earned both her BA in English and TESOL certification at NC State. She enjoys running and loved biking in the Atacama Desert and on the frozen Arctic Ocean.
