Ann Kirsh

Bio

Ann Kirsh is an attorney who worked at IBM as a contracts negotiator. She decided to change careers and after obtaining her certification to teach ESL from Duke University in 2009. In 2012, Ms. Kirsh received the Continuing Education Instructor of the Year Award from Alamance Community College. Ms. Kirsh has been teaching writing, reading, listening and note-taking skills in the IEP since the program’s expansion in the fall of 2012.  Most recently, she has added conversation skills classes for NC State’s visiting scholars to her repertoire.  In these classes, Ms. Kirsh brings not only her breadth of teaching experience, but also her love of reading, the arts, and current events. When not teaching, Ms. Kirsh enjoys attending live music and theatre, cycling, hiking, baking, and traveling around the world.
